Hirsch, Steve
Steve Hirsch is a professional engineer with 20 years of experience in the field of water resources engineering. Steve has worked as a consultant on the design and construction of stormwater infrastructure as well as an owner on the operation of maintenance of these systems. He currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Seabrook Island where he responsible for the operation and maintenance of the stormwater system. Seabrook Island is a barrier island off the coast of South Carolina that is susceptible to the impacts of sea level rise. Seabrook has witnessed the effects of sea level rise in the form of increased frequency of tidal flooding over the past decade. Steve is responsible for mitigating the effects of tidal flooding on property and roadways. He is experienced in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of tidal flood prevention systems.
