Spencer-Williams, Isaiah
Isaiah Spencer-Williams is a graduate student at the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh under the guidance of Dr. Sarah Haig. His work forcuses on understanding the microbiological aspects of conventional and unconventional water matrices in order to better serve communities, technology providers, and society in the quest to continually secure accessible water supplies for the future. Isaiah earned his bachelor of science in civil engineering with an environmental concentration from the University of Pittsburgh. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering, Isaiah Spencer-Williams traveled across the globe, witnessing the impact of engineering in places like Flint, Michigan and South Africa. These experiences left a lasting impact and inspired him to reframe his approach to engineering.
