Abstract
The purpose of this white paper is to contribute to a better understanding of how Life Cycle Cost calculations can support the design and selection of more cost-effective wastewater pumping systems. This paper will describe all areas of the general LCC equation and focus in depth on the areas of highest importance for wastewater pumping systems. A total LCC analysis covers all areas of the pump system’s lifetime, but for many projects some parts of the equation are more relevant than others. The parts of the equation that matter the most will depend on the application, geographic location, labor costs and energy costs – factors that can vary significantly between markets.
