Successful Clarifier Rehabilitation: from CFD modeling, to Performance Specifications, to Compliance - While Saving Money
Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive approach for the successful rehabilitation of clarifiers, including field characterization and modeling, performance specifications and performance testing. This approach was applied for the rehabilitation of three circular center-feed secondary clarifiers at the South Central Regional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Board (SCRWT&DB) located in Delray Beach, Florida and rated at 24-mgd AADF.
