Development of Diagnosis System for Equipment Protection by Optical Fiber Sensor and Power Line Communications
Abstract
Preventive maintenance based on state diagnosis of mechanical equipment is necessary in order to improve the reliability of sewerage plant and manage maintenance effectively. However, inspectors currently collect information necessary for state diagnosis such as vibration or sound of equipment by their own five senses, and state diagnosis based on this information is judged by their intuition and experience. Efficiency of data collection and objectivity of diagnosis are problems to be solved. In this research, we develop a system for automatic collection of vibration data of mechanical equipment and a diagnosis system using optical fiber sensor and technique of power line communications (hereafter we call PLC for power line communications).
