Expanded and Enhanced QualServe Program Provides Continuous Improvement Path for Utilities
Abstract
Continuous improvement remains a significant opportunity for most water utilities. Responding to the impact of new technology, changing customer expectations and government regulations, utilities need programs that are designed to assist with their continuous improvement efforts. Among these programs is QualServe, a voluntary continuous improvement program created specifically for water and wastewater utilities, sponsored by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Water Environment Federation (WEF). This presentation will illustrate how expansion and enhancement of QualServe has made the program a more flexible tool. It allows more utilities to use the program to effectively address their specific continuous improvement needs. Examples of assessment tools and utility results will be shown.
