Co-Digestion Issues That Wastewater Agencies are Facing
Abstract
Municipal wastewater agencies are under ever-increasing pressure to keep costs of service down. Agencies with anaerobic digestion of wastewater solids (sludge), however, are seeing advantages of this process in helping to control their costs. Savings can occur on electric power bills and heating energy, and in other ways. In addition to digesting sludge, these reactors can effectively digest a broad range of other organic material.
