About Li, Zhengxi

 
I received my Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering at Tongji University in China, and then received Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering at Southern Methodist University. I joined the University of Kansas in 2019 Fall and worked with Dr. Belinda Sturm to pursue my PhD. From 2019 Fall to 2020 Spring, I was working on the microplastics project, studying the fate of micriplastics through wastewater treatment process. Starting from 2020 April, due to the pandemic, the microplastics project was stagnant and I was tranferred to a new SARS-CoV-2 project in my group. I set up SARS-CoV-2 protocols for wastewater survelliance and started sampling wastewater influent around Kansas State. 2021 Jan, I was back to my microplastics project and very excited to start the next phase of the experiment.
