Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts' Wastewater Treatment Plant Odor Control Practices
Abstract
The Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (Districts) are a large wastewater treatment agency that has invested a considerable amount of effort and money over the years to control odors from wastewater treatment facilities. Many different types of odor control technology have been tried in both the collection system and at wastewater treatment plants. The Districts have in due course been able to select technologies that work effectively and economically.The odor control technologies that are currently being used at the Districts largest wastewater treatment plant, the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant, will be reviewed along with each technologies capabilities in removing air emissions contaminates.
