The public has become greatly concerned about odorous emissions from biosolids. Efforts to control odors associated with biosolids are being attempted at the local level, state level, national level, or by international standards. These regulations range widely in practice and application. Several regulatory techniques are reviewed and the potential effects on biosolids management are discussed.
