Utilizing Performance Metrics to Measure the Impact of Sustainability on NYC Water & Wastewater Infrastructure
Abstract
This paper explores the impact of the ongoing collaboration with project teams using data collected through several major reports completed during design: Energy Profile Report, Climate Risk Assessment and Adaptation Plan, Construction Waste Estimate Report, Recycled and Regional Content Plan, Stormwater Management Plan, Envision Rating System, and Sustainability Management Plan. Approximately 190 capital projects are being tracked through the program, the analysis of this data provides a robust synopsis of the programs progress and serves as a platform of self-reflection for the Sustainability Section’s plan moving forward. The reporting process aids the Sustainability Section to better serve project teams, emphasize collaboration between stakeholders, and illustrates the ongoing success of the Sustainability program in complying with NYC Local Law.
