Zahreddine, Phil
Mr. Zahreddine is an environmental engineer currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor in EPA 's Office of Wastewater Management (OWM) at EPA Headquarters. His work focuses on municipal wastewater treatment technologies and research, and sustainability in water resource management. Phil holds a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. In his current position, Phil serves as the OWM research coordinator and technology lead in a number of technology and research areas and as a contact on several projects and efforts managed by OWM and other Office of Water program offices and EPA regions. Phil's previous responsibilities at EPA included seven years as the Chief of the Municipal Technology Branch, managing programs including the Municipal Wastewater Technologies Program, the Onsite Wastewater Management Program and the Clean Watersheds Needs Survey. Prior to joining EPA in 2003, Phil's career included over 12 years in municipal wastewater treatment engineering and operations and 5 years in facility energy conservation planning and management. His responsibilities included managing treatment operations and biosolids management programs at two major wastewater treatment facilities in the State of Maryland.
