Cook, Cayla

Cayla Cook is Carollo's National Microplastics Lead and Regional Carollo Research Group (CRG) Lead with more than 7 years of experience in polymer science related to water resources. She spearheads all micro- and nanoplastic-related efforts at Carollo for water, wastewater, and biosolids. This includes investigating mitigation strategies, designing and implementing monitoring initiatives, and building a database to advance understanding of contamination. Her expertise areas cover a broad range of polymer science topics including smart polymers, biopolymer nanotechnology, microplastic analytical methods, microplastic monitoring, and environmental and human health impacts of plastic and plastic-associated additives.
