Clark, Shirley
Shirley Clark holds a B.S. in chemical engineering and a Ph.D. in environmental health engineering. Her research focuses on improving water treatment systems and addressing aspects of the water cycle in urban environments. Recently, her work has optimized bioretention media to remove radionuclides, evaluated the impacts of land development and road salts on soils, and evaluated the impacts of environmental factors on COVID-19 prevalence. She currently serves on the Chesapeake Bay STAC, the Pennsylvania WRAC, and is Vice-President of ASCE's Environment and Water Resources Institute.
