Thompson, Matthew
Matthew Thompson is a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska -Lincoln and a wastewater EIT at HDR. His research focuses on improving sustainability of wastewater treatment and industrial processes. As an active member with the local Nebraska WEF section for 6 years, he helped with launching the Nebraska WEF section’s mentoring program to help boost student engagement within the water/wastewater profession. A key professional goal of Matt is to help further develop actionable methods and information for sustainable design of wastewater treatment systems. Outside of work, Matt likes to spend time cooking, gardening, and exploring new places with his wife Youra.
