Proano, Camila
Camila Proano is a Clark Doctoral Fellow in the civil and environmental engineering department at the University of Maryland College Park (UMD). She has a MS in civil engineering from UMD. Her previous research focused on assessing free nitrous acids pretreatment of food waste and sewage sludge for anerobic digestion. She has also worked on projects dealing with wastewater surveillance for SARS-CoV-2. Camila is a 2023 UMD Global STEWARDS Fellow, an NSF graduate training fellowship focusing on preparing future leaders on innovations at the nexus of food, energy, and water systems.
