de Lannoy, Charles-Francois
Charles de Lannoy is an Assistant Professor Chemical Engineering at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, Canada. His work focuses on separations (membranes and sorbents), nanomaterials, and electrochemistry for environmental applications, such as water and wastewater treatment, desalination, CO2 capture and gas separation. Before starting at McMaster he was a researcher at PARC (the Palo Alto Research Center) where he developed novel CO2 capture devices, electrochemical desalination technologies, and advances to high-resolution 3D printing. He completed his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Duke University and a B.Sc. in Physics (Honours) from McGill University. He is intersted in the intersection of advanced materials with electrochemical processes for environmental separations and remediation processes. He has several patents and is eager to expand his work from the laboratory to industrial application.
