Kate Newhart recieved her bachelors, Masters, and PhD in Environmental Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, focusing on data-driven process control and optimization of municipal wastewater facilities. During her graduate work, Kate was an operator of a water reclaimation facility and an engineer for the Metro Wastewater Reclaimation District's Technology and Innovation Division in Denver, CO. Kate's main focus is translating and applying concepts from statistical science into water and wastewater treatment for new and interesting insights into operation.
