Sabu Paul is a senior project manager with Atkins. He is a practitioner in water resources engineering for nearly two decades and his expertise is in hydrology and hydraulics, as well as geographic information system. Sabu earned his bachelor of technology in Agricultural Engineering, master of techonology in Water Resources Development Management, and a doctorate in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University.

WEF Stormwater Quality Modeling: Today's Models

Abstract

This abstract is part of a series of five presentations describing the recently published WEF Stormwater, Watershed, and Receiving Water Quality Manual. The presentations are meant to create almost a full session at WEFTEC 2020. The first presentation will cover Chapters 1 and 2 – an introduction to the Manual, as well as how water quality modeling began. The second presentation will cover Chapter 3 - how water quality modeling has evolved to present day standards. This presentation, the third, will cover Chapter 4 and highlight the capabilities of the available models. The fourth presentation will cover Chapter 5 and highlight the model selection process. The fifth presentation will cover Chapter 6, the look at the future of water quality modeling. At the end of the presentations, attendees are expected to understand how modeling began, the current industry standard of modeling for water quality, how to select a model for their specific project, and where the industry is headed.
