Sorenson, Kent

Dr. Sorenson leads CDM Smith's firm-wide environment market strategy. He is an internationally recognized expert in the characterization and remediation of hazardous waste sites in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Dr. Sorenson was recently honored with ASCE's 2020 Henry L. Michel Award for Industry Advancement of Research. Many of his advancements now represent the state of the art in remediation technologies, and include six U.S. patents. A current focus is technologies for treatment of PFAS-contaminate water, including AFFF-contaminated water. Dr. Sorenson has coauthored over 40 scientific publications and over 180 presentation at various national and international conferences.
