Wick, Natalie
From 2011 to 2016 Natalie Wick studied environmental-, hygiene- and safety-engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen (Giessen, Germany). After spending 2 years working in the field of water treatment, she joined the Bundeswehr University Munich as research assistant with the aim of earning her PhD in the beginning of 2019. One of her research topics at the Chair of Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management is the determination and evaluation of microplastic entry paths into limnic systems, especially the entries from water resource recovery plants. This includes mixed and rainwater discharges as well as effluents from water resource recovery plants into the water body.
