He is a professional engineer in four states and a licensed wastewater operator. Pertinent examples of Georges high strength waste stream practice experience include: project director for a combined $20 million Zimpro Wet Air Oxidation (WAO) process and high purity oxygen aeration system for a chemical facility in the UK, a $3 million thermophilic aerobic treatment system for a high strength organic acid stream and a $5 million sequencing batch reactor system for a pharmaceutical organic synthesis plant in Puerto Rico. George has evaluated and performed many technology based alternative analysis for waste streams originating from pretrochemcal, refining, and pharmaceutical organic synthesis plants and was a wastewater consultant to a PhRMA (Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America) task force during rulemaking of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Effluent Guidelines which led to favorable changes in the final rule. With a strong background in environmental, chemical, and pharmaceutical engineering, he has supported many capital projects in the development and installation of new wastewater treatment and air pollution control systems. George is a Life Member in the Water Environment Federation, Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Board Certified Environmental Engineer in the American Academy of Environmental Engineering, and an active member in the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering.
