Chegounian, Parisa
Parisa Chegounian is a process engineer with over 6 years of experience in integrating business and science, and developing practical solutions in regulatory driven environments. As Scientific Innovation Project Coordinator with Metro Vancouver, Parisa's work primarily focuses on bridging research and business for pilot testing and commercialization of projects involving the intensification of liquid and solid processes in wastewater treatment, biogas cleanup and utilization, hydrogen production, and resource recovery. Previously, Parisa worked at Metabolik Technologies, a UBC spin-off that developed a biotechnology platform based on her PhD research and was later acquired by a large international company. Parisa received her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
