Abstract
This paper and presentation will discuss the risk-based decision framework and identified research areas of a comprehensive produced water study conducted by the Ground Water Protection Council (GWPC). Study participants represented NGOs, academia, oil and gas industry, associations, consulting engineers, and state and federal agencies. The majority of the text is taken directly from Module 3 of the Produced Water Report: Regulations, Current Practices and Research Needs; published June 24, 2019 with permission of GWPC.
