Leveraging Collaborative Approaches to Build Customized Asset Management Programs
Abstract
The value of implementing GIS and technology tools to support planning, operations and maintenance is rapidly increasing for utility owners. These tools support manageable manipulation of datasets and facilitate the creation of compelling visuals that increase efficiency and allow for accurate and thoughtful approaches to solving ageing infrastructure challenges. Our objective is to highlight a series of collaborative approaches and tools that we have developed to support the management of utility infrastructure. These approaches are derived from our experience working with numerous distribution and collection systems while leveraging the skills and expertise of multiple professionals with varied backgrounds.
