Evaluating Maintenance Requirements and Performance of Emerging Stormwater Control Measures at Dedicated Testing Center
Abstract
Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is currently working collaboratively with numerous public stakeholders in Oregon and Washington to direct the operation of the Stormwater Technology Testing Center (STTC), a dedicated testing facility located in Portland, OR for evaluating emerging stormwater control measures (SCMs). The primary goal of testing at the STTC will be to evaluate maintenance requirements for these systems based on an established protocol. A secondary goal will be to evaluate the pollutant removal performance of SCMs at the STTC in accordance with the Technology Assessment Protocol (TAPE) program. The TAPE program is administered by the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) to verify SCMs will achieve minimum pollutant removal targets for specific treatment categories prior to their widespread application in Washington State.
