Abstract
A Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) can move toward energy neutrality by being sure it is operating energy efficiently and then utilize renewable energy resources. A WWTF must initially perform an energy efficiency survey to identify what opportunities it has to minimize its energy consumption. Upon completion of the survey it must implement modifications needed to become energy efficient. Once its' energy consumption is minimized it then needs to assess and identify what renewable energy resources are available to it to best reduce its demand on grid available energy.
