Phytoremediation: A Remediation Tool That Also Provides Emissions Credits for Facilities
Abstract
Phytoremediation has provided another tool for remediation at sites where shallow groundwater and soils are impacted. We recognize that this method does not work for all sites. However, for some locations the benefits or ‘value added’ can go beyond inexpensive soil and groundwater remediation and provide previously ‘un-claimed benefits’.
