Abstract
The Town of Windsor, California, population 23,000, operates a water reclamation plant (WRP) producing disinfected tertiary effluent that is recycled for irrigation in the growing season and discharged to a tributary of the Russian River in the winter months. Recently completed expansion and improvement projects include a new ultraviolet light (UV) system for disinfecting filtered effluent flows of up to 8.6 MGD.
