Abstract

The Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority (the “Authority) is a body corporate and politic constituting a public benefit corporation, duly organized and existing pursuant to Title 13 M of Article 8 of the Public Authorities Law and Chapter 43 A of the Consolidated Laws of the State of New York (the “Act”). The Authority was created by the Act on July 26, 1993 and became active operationally in September, 1994 with the appointment of a Board of Directors.
