Abstract
1. Introduction Sewer projects consist of two parts: the installation stage and the operation stage, or maintenance and management. Although techniques have been developed for design and planning in the installation stage, there are no established methods for maintenance and management. However, maintenance and management of a sewer collection system begins immediately after installation and continues on a semi-permanent basis as long as the sewer collection system remains in use. To promote longer usable lifetimes for sewer collection systems, a valuable resource, it is necessary to engage actively in maintenance and management.
