Asset Management Studies with Limited Budgets
Abstract
With more than 1,500 pieces of aging equipment at its four wastewater treatment plants and two outfall pipelines, the South Orange County Wastewater Authority retained Tetra Tech, Inc., to develop an Assessment Management Plan. With a severely restricted budget, project challenges included researching and developing detailed equipment lists; assigning cost estimates to replacement value for all assets; and, developing equipment life estimates and annual replacement cost projections.
