Abstract
Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath damaged the drainage and the sewerage collection system in the City of Slidell (City), creating health and safety issues for both the general public and emergency/recovery personnel working in the city. The efforts by the City in restoring these systems were critical to making the city safe and functional for the return of its citizens.This paper will try and provide you with a glimpse into the massive efforts that the City of Slidell undertook in order to inspect and clean its drainage and sanitary sewer systems.
