Membrane Bioreactor Technology Evaluation After 8 Years of Operation – Grand Targhee, WY
Abstract
Grand Targhee Resort upgraded their wastewater treatment plant in 1998 to replace an aging lagoon treatment system. The upgraded treatment system makes use of membrane bioreactor technology to produce an effluent which exceeds fundamental quality requirements (BOD5≤30 mg/L, TSS≤30 mg/L). Because the membrane equipment has been in operation for approximately 9 years, Grand Targhee Resort contracted HDR to assess the condition of their wastewater treatment system, in particular, the condition and need for replacement of the membrane and influent screening systems.
