Operation and Maintenance of the Delphos MBR WWTP “One Year Report”
Abstract
The City of Delphos Ohio membrane bioreactor (MBR) is one of the largest MBR's to go online during 2006 and has not been immune to startup challenges and issues for its first year of operation. The plant has successfully overcome many challenges over the past year and continues to discharge effluent well and within its draft NPDES parameters. Communications and planning have mitigated most of the problems occurring during the past year. The final construction cost was lower than predicted but normal plant operational costs have not yet been available. The Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manual written for the plant is designed to be dynamic and usable. It should be the first thing the operators reference when there is a question on the plant performance or behavior and the first reference to be edited when there is a change in equipment or procedure.
