Abstract

With the recent volatility in the energy markets and continued concerns about how traditional technologies are impacting our environment, green energy technologies are one of the most commonly discussed topics in both scientific and political circles. Although many of these technologies are still in conceptual stages, three types that show significant promise for implementation at wastewater treatment facilities are solar, fuel cell, and algae.
