Abstract
When the City of Longmont, Colorado's Water/Wastewater Department (Longmont) committed to developing a new strategic plan to guide their organization into the future, they partnered with EMA and began the process with an assessment of the current organization, practices, and technologies. Longmont made a commitment to stabilize water rates for the succeeding ten years. This project was essential to meeting the goal by reducing Utilities' operating costs through improvements in productivity and efficiency in day to day operations in all areas of the Utilities.
