Ms. Petschauer is a Senior Water Biologist with the City of Los Angeles Watershed Protection Division. She received her M.S. in Biology from California State University, Long Beach before beginning her career with the City in 2009. Ms. Petschauer has over 19 years of experience in water quality, NPDES/MS4 compliance and stormwater program management including serving as the watershed lead of the Upper Los Angeles River Enhanced Watershed Management Group (ULAR EWMP) for the past 6 years. In her capacity, Ms. Petschauer has been critical in addressing the City’s Bacteria TMDL and gauging the effectiveness of existing non-structural and structural controls on achieving region-wide water quality objectives. Most recently she lead the development of the LRS Adaptation Plan for the ULAR WMG—successfully securing $1.25M in Safe Clean Water Program funds—to support a risk-based targeted approach to decrease health risks associated with bacteria-related issues.
