The 2-year demonstration project was sponsored and funded by BMUA with grants and collaboration from EPA and DEP. From 2014 to 2015, at BMUA’s Oak Street facilities, a total of six technologies — three employing solids removal and three utilizing disinfection — were tested in 18 different treatment process combinations spanning nine wet weather events.
