Description: Wastewater Lift Stations Technical Report
Wastewater Lift Stations Technical Report
Lift stations contain several components including pumps, valves, piping, electrical, and instrumentation control systems necessary to pump wastewater from a lower elevation to a higher elevation, making lift stations an essential component of many municipal sewer systems. This technical report provides engineers, operations and maintenance staff, utility managers, practitioners, and educators an overview of lift station purpose, components, types, pumping and lift station hydraulics, instrumentation and control, data management, operations and maintenance (O&M), and troubleshooting. This technical report is an expansion of the WEF Sanitary Sewer Lift Stations fact sheet.
