Abstract
This paper was presented at WEFTEC 2023 in Chicago, IL.
This paper presents data, experience, good practices and lessons learned from starting up three recent MBBR anammox systems (Howard County MD, Tomahawk Creek KS and Le Mans France) treating conventional non-THP centrate and three IFAS ANITA Mox systems (Wrexham UK, Toulouse France and Osberstown Ireland) treating THP centrate. The paper discusses the good practices and challenges and review some of the startup data of each plant.
