Cost-Effective Training of WWTP Operators with Virtual Treatment Plant Models
Abstract
As treatment utilities throughout North America are faced with the departure a significant number of experienced personnel over the coming decade, managers are looking to various technologies to aid in the transfer of knowledge and experience from retiring staff to new people coming on board. Case studies will illustrate how simulation-based training has proven to be a useful tool when used in conjunction with other knowledge management techniques.
