A Case Study of Start-Up Considerations for 2TPAD Anaerobic Digestion
Abstract
Over the last 10 to 15 years, there has been a limited but consistent implementation of municipal high temperature or thermophilic anaerobic digesters in the U.S. for digestion of waste biosolids. The majority of them are being installed where the market drivers for Class A, or exceptional quality biosolids, are more prominent. Given the dual-temperature complexity of the process, careful attention to start-up of these systems is needed to make certain that stable and reliable operation is subsequently achieved.
