Wizard 4000 Chemical Inventory Management System: More Than Just A Scale
Abstract
The Wizard 4000 multi-channel weight indicator has been designed to monitor chemicals used in water treatment. The focus was to provide an accurate and reliable controller that could be tailored to suit individual system requirements. Design and performance requirements were established and then a special software program was written to accommodate multiple sensor inputs. The resulting product has given operations staff a versatile controller to monitor bulk storage, day tanks, drums, cylinders, and dry feeders and generate relevant data for usage, rate of feed, and level measurement. This information can be used locally by operations staff to: 1) more accurately control chemical dosage, 2) monitor chemical costs, 3) improve plant safety, and 4) assist in regulatory compliance.
