Abstract
Past studies have proposed rehabilitation to be very effective to completely ineffective in removing I/I. The Vallejo Sanitation and Flood Control District in California have recently completed a pilot rehabilitation program, which included rehabilitation and replacement of sewer mains, laterals, and manholes, to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of collection system rehabilitation for removing I/I. This pilot program was necessary to evaluate how effective rehabilitation is when compared to other technologies in managing I/I as a system-wide solution for a Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
