Abstract
The Western Westmoreland Municipal Authority (WWMA) provides wastewater conveyance and treatment services to six communities located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, approximately 40 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA. WWMA provides this service to approximately 60,000 residential, commercial and light industrial users in the Boroughs of North Irwin, Irwin and Manor and portions of the Townships of North Huntingdon, Penn and Hempfield. WWMA owns and operates the Brush Creek WWTP, approximately 12 miles of interceptor sewer, one remote pump station and three permitted combined sewer overflow regulators at the points of connection in the Boroughs of Manor and Irwin, the two combined sewer communities.
