Abstract
Designing a wastewater treatment plant for an island resort setting requires careful planning. Controlling of odor emissions is a key consideration. However, the logistics related to delivering materials and equipment to the island during the tourist season can have a significant influence on the selection of an odor control approach.This paper will review the selection of an odor control system for the Town of Nantucket, Massachusetts, Siasconset Wastewater Treatment Facility, and the performance of the selected system.
