2012 Update to the EPA Guidelines for Water Reuse
Abstract
This manuscript and associated special technical session was designed to continue the process of updating the 2004 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Guidelines for Water Reuse. The individual sessions are designed to walk the attendees through the updating process and technical issues that are being addressed in the update. Throughout the sessions there will be opportunities to ask questions and add input. The EPA Guidelines for Water Reuse management team strives to not only give updates on the progress of the project, but to also solicit input.The following topics will be addressed in the overall session:Needs and Guidelines Development ApproachRegulatory and Water Quality DriversFederal Agency ParticipationInternational ParticipationTreatment Technology Advances and ApplicationsThe final session will be a panel with the speakers listed above, in which there will be time for open dialogue between panel members and attendees. The team will also provide the attendees with information on how to participate and stay involved in the progress of the project.
