Abstract
The City of Los Angeles Sanitation (LASAN) operates a treatment and storage facility to reduce excessive surcharging of the collection system downstream of the plant. To aid in the operation of the facility, LASAN desired to implement a Real Time Decision Support System that aggregates real time flow, level, and precipitation information, weather forecasts, and an artificial intelligence model to provide LASAN staff with recommendations on the operational mode of the facility.
