Abstract
One of the biggest advantages of Design-Build projects is to fast-track work and shorten the time from project start to finish. However, with construction beginning before design is complete, how can an Owner safeguard against partial design development that could potentially result in costly changes during project execution? This paper discusses the development and implementation of a risk mitigation framework using complex hydraulic modeling tools to verify partial design concepts in Design-Build projects.
